Campoamor - Orihuela Costa - Costa Blanca - Spain

Located at the southern end of the Orihuela Costa (Costa Blanca) area of Alicante province, Dehesa de Campoamor is a beautiful coastal resort boasting a terrific range of amenities, great sandy beaches, good transport links, and is the ideal spot for a family holiday.

Perfectly located for exploring both the Murcia and Valencia regions of Spain (Costa Calida and Costa Blanca), the resort is easily reached from either San Javier (Murcia) or Alicante airports, the former is twenty minutes drive, whilst the latter is around 50 minutes driving distance.

Sandwiched between the equally splendid resorts of Cabo Roig (Red Bay) and Mil Palmeras (One Thousand Palms), Dehesa de Campoamor (Meadow of Love) is generally best known due to its fine golf course, located just inland from the resort and called the Club de Golf Campoamor.

While more popular with the Spanish themselves, the area does have a considerable expat community and also numerous German and other non-spanish residents.

Since the 1980's there has been quite a lot of property development in Campoamor though this slowed down from 2008 onwards. This has resulted in a good supply of properties for sale and also those that are available for renting to those seeking self-catering style holidays.

There is some hotel accommodation available in Campoamor, perhaps the best being the hotel on the golf course, though this is not ideal for the beaches of the seaside resort, there are however a couple of aparthotels that you could try.

The main beach for the resort is Playa de la Glea which has good facilities, lots of parking and plenty of space for sunbathing.

Dehesa de Campoamor is situated on the main coastal road for the region (the N332) and also benefits from an exit off the AP-7 motorway.
